Opening Statement
When I joined this game, the main thing racing through my mind was “OK fingers crossed I can make it to jury!!!” I would have never guessed that I would be sitting here in the final two. Before I start, I’d like to thank Julie and the Housecalls for hosting an amazing game. I would also like to extend thanks to all the players, for making this game an incredible experience.
My main goal walking into the Big Brother house was to be very social. I wanted to talk to every single person in the game as much as possible. By having casual conversations about life, television shows, and who you were rooting for in Big Brother Canada, I was able to learn important things about each houseguest and was able to predict how they would play the game. I wanted to get comfortable with each player in the house and learn more about them so that I could use their characteristics to my advantage and plan accordingly. I wanted to identify all potential threats to my game and figure out the best time to take each one of them out.
Winning competitions wasn’t something I wanted to do unless I felt it necessary. Painting a target on my back is not something I wanted to do and winning too much in the beginning would have done just that. I wanted to do more background work in the beginning stages of the game, and then try and win out as much as possible in the final weeks. I am very proud of my 5 wins and felt that they all came at perfect timing. I am also very proud of the fact that I was able to go the entire game without being nominated or a have not. This proves that I was indeed able to keep my strong social connections alive throughout the game and stay out of danger.
I was in a handful of alliances in this game with a multitude of people. I knew that keeping in touch with all corners of the house would keep me well informed and safe. Even though I worked with many of you…there was only one person that I was going to remain loyal to.
On the first night, I met Danielle. We hit it off immediately and after a long conversation, we decided that we were going to watch each other’s backs. No matter who I got close or worked with, I was going to take her to the end no matter what. Even though I had formed strong connections with many of you, talking with Danielle everyday not only about the game but about life created an inseparable bond that I would never break. Every decision I have made was to get myself and Dani to the final two. One thing that shocked me about powerful duos in this game is how open they are about it. I believe that the best duos are the ones that remain undetected. I wanted to keep our relationship as secret as possible because I knew that if we were found out, then we would be targeted immediately. I was willing to do whatever was needed, whether it be lying, manipulating, or backstabbing to carry ourselves to the end.
If I offended you in this game then I am truly sorry. It was never my intention to hurt anyone’s feelings or insult them personally. I came here to play a game and I did what I thought was necessary to get myself and Danielle to the end, even if it meant getting my hands dirty. I have grown close to you all, and I hope that we can remain friends after this because you all mean a lot to me, regardless of what you might think. Much respect to you all and thanks for making this a wonderful experience and a game that I will truly cherish as my first ORG.
